Here’s another sneak peek, shown with a color that coordinates with the image, and this one would be fantastic with your next child or teen photo session!

Atlanta, cont’d
Here are some shots from my afternoon in downtown Atlanta.
I thought the juxtaposition of the old with the new was really interesting.
I stopped to chat with a policeman near this church and told me that if I like it from the outside, that I just had to go in.
He was right…
This is the outdoor fountain at the Marriott where we had our classes the first couple of days.

We didn’t get a chance to go to this place, but I thought it was cute, and that red sure made it stick out in the midst of all the downtown concrete.

This is taken from the bottom floor of the building that holds the PPA offices. I thought it was really neat that you could look up and see this view.
This is the exterior view of our hotel.
Shelby
My daughter’s first babysitter is starting her senior year in high school. I just can’t believe it. I know to seniors, all *old* people say this (you know, all of us older than 30, ha ha), but it really seems like just yesterday when she started babysitting the doodlebug. In actuality, it was over 4 years ago now. Needless to say, I was thrilled when her mom contacted me about doing her senior pictures!
Enjoy your senior year Shelby!!!
Atlanta
I recently went to Atlanta for a photography workshop at the PPA {Professional Photographer’s of America}. I was so excited to meet the speakers, Ann Monteith and Lori Norstrom, plus all the wonderful supporting staff at PPA! We even had surprise visits from Carol Andrews (of Houston) and Ron Nichols, a photoshop guru! All of these photographers are top notch at the photography business, and it was really great to learn from them.
I roomed with a fabulous photographer from Omaha, Nebraska: Megan Marie! Check out her website: http://www.meganmariephotography.com. She was able to get us a great rate at this boutique hotel in downtown Atlanta, called “The Ellis”.

I arrived on Sunday afternoon, and had a brief afternoon of walking around downtown, but I wish I had more time to explore the city. After the workshop started Monday morning, I didn’t have a spare minute. But, I’ll share the images from Sunday afternoon in another post soon.
